Bryan Jacobs

Bryan Jacobs is one of the founders of RealSmart Group. He specializes in residential and commercial real estate and helps buyers find the right homes. He also assists current owners in selling their home to its highest potential. He supports investors in locating profitable real estate investments through RealSmart Investments.

He started his real estate career in 1989 as a loan research analyst at a large brokerage firm in San Mateo. Three years later, at the age of 21, Bryan obtained his real estate license, and showing his vast knowledge of the local real estate market, he purchased his first home at the age of 21, adding 3 rental properties to his portfolio within his first year in real estate.

Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Small Business Management from San Francisco State University and for 7 years wrote the real estate column for the San Francisco Examiner newspaper.

In his spare time, Bryan enjoys being outdoors any way possible – be it on his motorcycle or on his feet hiking the trails of the peninsula. Bryan has a passion for travel and makes it a point to travel to Europe at least once a year, especially to Germany, to take in the culture and visit family. On the rare weekend, you can find him playing a round or two of golf, but mostly he enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and son.

Karen Vega

Karen Vega, co-founder of RealSmart Property Group, is an operations expert with in depth knowledge of tenant laws, underwriting procedures, and local and out-of-state regulations. She has 20 years experience in residential loan underwriting and is a licensed real estate broker. Karen has successfully formed over 20 LP and LLCs and other partnerships and is at any given time in charge of running over 10 companies. Using her excellent project management skills paired with her attention to detail, she also delivers all construction projects on time and on budget.

Karen holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance and Real Estate from San Francisco State University and has Credentials in Financial Planning.

Karen is heavily involved in the local community children’s theatre, for which she has produced countless shows. She loves to go antique shopping with her husband and daughter, and has a passion for most things unique and vintage. She maintains a busy and active lifestyle, but finds time to relax and entertain, and even throws a yearly summer bash to celebrate her favorite season.

Camilo Perez

Camilo Perez focuses his efforts on helping families and individuals realize the dream of home ownership. Many of his clients are first time buyers who never thought it would be possible to own their own homes. He also assists investors and families that are transitioning homes and lifestyles, an endeavor that he finds just as rewarding.

Prior to joining RealSmart Property Group, Camilo worked in the asphalt & cement industry, heading a local company that continues to thrive to this day. His entrepreneurial spirit helped him hone a keen skill set in negotiation, business ethics, and client service that he now applies to his successful career in real estate.

Born and raised in Redwood City, Camilo values the deep roots he holds in his community. He actively participates in many non-profit organizations, like the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Fueled by a passion for charity, he has completed many triathlons, including an Ironman triathlon, while raising money for blood cancer research. He enjoys an active lifestyle and spends his weekends relaxing with his family and five children.

Denis Vorrises

Denis Vorrises’s expertise lies in residential real estate and residential income (investment) properties.  He works with buyers, many of whom are first-time buyers, to achieve their dreams of home-ownership. He also focuses his efforts in helping colleagues and clients successfully find and invest in properties.

Before becoming a real estate expert, Denis had also worked in the retail industry for 20 years. He brings his service background to his real estate practice by consistently offering excellent customer service to his long list of satisfied clients. Denis holds a Bachelor of Science in Small Business Management from San Francisco State University.

In his spare time, Denis enjoys travelling and expanding his horizons. He especially loves to travel to Greece, where his family is from, to enjoy the scenery and traditional food. He stays active through basketball and swimming, but above all enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and two daughters.

Ruth Krumbhaar

Ruth has a finely tuned sense for opportunity and potential which translates into exceptional service for her clients. She developed a keen eye for design and architecture from a young age while surrounded by a family of architects, landscape designers and builders. She then honed her interest while living in Europe.

At RealSmart, Ruth specializes in residential sales. She represents first-time buyers, move-up buyers, sellers, and investors. Her deep appreciation and knowledge of Bay Area real estate is built on 25 years living around San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo County and the East Bay. As a mother and a dog owner, she understands the needs and nuances of finding the right home for everyone in the family, pets included.

Ruth holds a Master’s degree in psychology from University of San Francisco as well as a BA in Art History from Boston University. Ruth is an active and enthusiastic member of her community and dedicates her spare time to supporting accessible women’s health and mental healthcare for San Franciscans who need it.

Vickie Burgess

As a savvy Real Estate Advisor and Realtor with Real Smart Group in Redwood City, Vickie works the San Francisco Bay Area markets. Each of these areas is unique and represents some of the best housing stock across an entire spectrum of prices. Vickie draws upon her deep market knowledge to explain value.

She easily navigates any obstacle and draws upon her vast knowledge of the market to guide her clients through the transition. Her professional career has taught her the necessary skills to excel in the real estate industry including customer service, sales, and negotiation and closing the deal.

Shelly Normoyle

Whether she is setting up inspections, pulling reports, or ensuring that all procedures and forms are completed, Shelly makes sure no detail has been overlooked. Before coming to RealSmart, Shelly worked as a mortgage specialist for over 12 years, giving her a wealth of experience originating and underwriting home loans. A woman of many talents, Shelly also enjoys helping homeowners prepare their homes for sale. Shelly earned a BA in Interior Architecture & Design from The Academy of Art University. She also holds a BS in Business Administration from SF State University. Shelly lives in Redwood City and enjoys exploring the town with her 2 dogs, Vinny and Ruba. She has a passion for running and has completed 2 half-marathons and hopes to complete a full in the near future.

Robert Traller

Marketing Coordinator - DRE#02022266

Robert handles all of the marketing for RealSmart Group – including all print, email and online marketing.  He joined the team straight out of college in 2014 and has been with us ever since.  He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, but he has promised to keep the politics out of our marketing!  He obtained his real estate license shortly after joining the team.

In addition to working as our Marketing Coordinator, Robert is also RealSmart’s resident home brewer.  He has made several “RealSmart Brews” which we have served at company parties and events.
